When you have an idea for a new project, and start working on it, does it sometimes feel like puzzling?
Or let’s say it’s the step before puzzling: you need to create the pieces first, then try to make them fit together into an image that conveys your message.
Often, we run into problems at the beginning. Because we are too used to do things in a chronological or logical order. Some do it from left to right, some prefer doing it from up to down. We might find us holding several pieces in our hands that don’t go anywhere. We are not even sure if they will ever fit in the image at all. Maybe they are us wasting time, again.
First, breathe.
Now, how about we lay those puzzle pieces aside, and move on to others first? It will be easier to place them once most of the puzzles are done. Make other pieces first, lay out everything you’ve created and see how they can fit together. Zoom out and zoom in, then zoom out again. Your pieces will find their place.
